The Body Book

Book # 2 of the year is called: The Body Book by Cameron Diaz.

This book highlights the following:
  • The Law of Hunger
  • The law of Science of Strength
  • Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body

This is another book that caught my eye at the airport; so far so good. I like her blunt discussion regarding food, health and body image.

Has anyone else read this?

The Happiness Project Update

Hey everyone,

So I finished the Happiness Project book this weekend. It was so good that I'm tempted to re-read parts of it.

Since I'm working on my own Happiness Project I have drafted my 12 areas to tackle.
In no particular order just yet.

1. Be body kind
2. Something to believe in
3. Love is all I need
4. No complaints
5. Be present and in the moment
6. Find happiness in all I do
7. Attitude is everything
8. Peruse a passion
9. Master a new skill
10. Be Authentic
11. Follow through
12. Be centered

Has anyone else every made these types of list?

The Happiness Project - Gretchen Rubin

My first book the new year is called "The Happiness Project".

It caught my eye while walking through the airport and I seriously have not put it down since I paid for it.

I did not buy it, because I'm un-happy, but rather I enjoy reading books about other peoples journeys. I like to imagine myself in their situations and think about how  I would react.

Fortunately, this book has inspired me to start working on my own "Happiness Project". I plan to start it in Feb.

One of the greatest points I have taken away from it so far was a section on how the women was upset that her husband did not want to help with Christmas cards and she couldn't understand why. She then realized that it's not her husbands deal, he really doesn't care about the cards, but she does. Therefore once she understood that the desire was her own, she didn't mind doing them alone after all.

This is a great read, very easy, entertaining and from my point of view insightful.

I highly recommend this book, curious if anyone else has read it.
